Our Covert Surveillance Course equips you with the necessary skills and techniques to conduct effective surveillance operations in civilian environments. Whether you work in the security industry, for an intelligence service, or as a private detective, this course provides the tools you need for successful surveillance. 

Course Objectives

The purpose of our Covert Surveillance Course is to prepare you to carry out your tasks with high professionalism, safety, and effectiveness, enabling you to perform complex surveillance operations with confidence and precision. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises, you will gain an in-depth understanding of static and mobile surveillance, surveillance detection, anti-surveillance, and counter-surveillance.

Course Content

• Techniques for gathering information on the surveillance subject.

• Area reconnaissance prior to the operation.

• Planning routes to and from the operation area, both on foot and by car.

• Delivering operational orders and presenting them effectively.

• Mastering both static and mobile surveillance.

• Selecting appropriate attire for operations.

• Quick and precise descriptions of individuals in time-pressured situations.

• Covert communication and natural behavior to avoid detection.

• Developing a credible cover story.

• Surveillance detection techniques.

• Anti-surveillance techniques to evade recognized surveillance.

• Counter-surveillance methods.

Practical Exercises

The course includes four exercises, with participants leading at least one operation, ensuring practical application of learned techniques.

Instructor

Torben Kabel, former intelligence soldier with 12 years of experience in human intelligence and counterintelligence, including deployment as a Human Intelligence Agent Handler in Afghanistan and three deployments to Iraq, first as Deputy Commander of Counterintelligence and then twice as Commander of Counterintelligence.
